Remembering 9/11

As I work around my housetoday, I'm feeling this rush of emotion coming over me. Part of me is glad that I'm here in the UK today as the TV is not saturated with replays of news coverage from the 9/11 tragedy. I still can not bring myself to watch the jets crashing into the Twin Towers without bursting into tears. My heart aches for all those who lost someone that day. To know that terrorism was done on US soil is frightening.

Me too, I find any coverage stillmoves me, have watched a lot late at night this week.
We lived with IRA terrorism in many forms here for years, (my BiL was caught in a bomb blast in central London and years later, a friend's military father was murdered on his front door step).I think that gave us as a nation greater empathy in the impact and aftermath of 9/11.
Moving post Sandie, and your daily quote too.

Oh Julia, To have to live with that kind of thing happening on ones front door step,it makes my heart ache. My heart goes out too all people who have lived with and are currently living with this sort of thing going on around them.

I did watch a show on 9/11 and I cried my heart out.
