Scrapbook Destination is closing it's doors :-(

I received this newsltter in my mail box yesterday and I have to say that I am saddened by the news...
Store Closing -- All Inventory 25% off

Dear Sandie,
I regret to announce that Scrapbook Destination will be closing its doors by the end of May. We are truly grateful to you, our customers, for your support and patronage. Unfortunately, the current economic climate makes it impossible for us to stay in business; the entire inventory is on sale 25% off (except a few items--see the store for details).

Beginning Saturday, May 9, all fixtures are for sale as well, including paper racks and fixtures, slat wall and hooks, grid panels and hooks, and assorted office equipment, stereo, tables, and more. All items are first-come, first-served; fixtures must be paid for at time of purchase, and those in use will be held until later in the month, as they are cleared and become available for removal. We will also be selling many of the fabulous samples you've admired in the store.

We will no longer be taking coupons as of today, and all sales are final. We are going to make an effort to contact the holder of every outstanding gift card; those cards are good as long as we have inventory to sell, and good on in-stock merchandise only. All $15 Frequent Buyer coupons will also be honored as long as we have merchandise to sell, but purchases will no longer accumulate toward reward. Accumulations of less than $200 cannot be redeemed for a reward; I hope you'll understand, since the program was always free and intended to benefit you, our customer.

If you have special orders outstanding, we are continuing to pursue those. You're welcome to check in with us regarding the status of your order; if you are unable to wait we're happy to refund your payment.

We are going forward with the Garage Sale on May 16 & 17; if you'd like to sign up for a table ($10 for a full table, $5 for a half table), we will be giving the proceeds as half cash, rather than 100% as a gift card.

Again, we thank you for your patronage these last two years; although I am sad to bring this chapter of my life to an end, I am glad to have been able to serve all of you. The staff and I will miss you, and we regret that there isn't another independent store between Colorado Springs and Northglenn. I wish that circumstances didn't require us to close. We hope to see you all in the coming weeks; we are expanding our hours during the closeout sale to 10 AM to 7 PM Monday, 10 AM to 6 PM Tuesday-Saturday, and 11 AM to 5 PM Sunday in order make it easier for you to shop during those hours.
Sincerely,

Mary Kay Seckinger

We no longer have any bonafied scrapbooking stores in our area. There's Hobby Lobby, Michael's and the few meager items you can buy at stores like Target and Walmart. But real honest to goodness scrapbooking stores? No, that have gone the way of the dodo. This is sad, very sad indeed!
