My husband and I attended the 28th Bomb Wing Annual Awards Banquet last evening. I'm very proud to say that my dear sweet friend Kim (whom I've talked about here on my blog) won Civilian Volunteer of the Year- what a true honor. And our dear friend Allen (husband of my friend Cindy whom I also speak highly of) won in his category. I can not be more proud of my friends being recognized for all that they do in our military community.
Another friend of ours was the guest speaker General Tony P. known to us first as "Col. P" when we were stationed at Loring AFB, Maine. It's a small world when your old squadron commander now a 2 start General.
