Autumn leaves

It's been unseasonably warm here in the Black Hills but that's soon to change. Temperatures will drop back down to the 40's in the next couple of days. It's been delightful having it be in the mid 70's and even today with the high being 65 (it's at 61 right now), it's pretty darn nice! My flowers and bushes are starting to go dormant for the winter- which is fine with me. I need to tend to the flower beds and put down more mulch. The wind has blown a lot of mulch around into the grass and I need to get the kids out there raking it back up.

One tree is totally without leaves and the others are on their way to losing their leaves. Our Russian Olive tree is holding on to her leaves pretty tight this year so it could be a few more weeks until it's branches are bare. It's Autumn and no other season that makes me miss New England with it's spectacularly colored foliage. And being from California that's really saying something!
