It's raining cats and dogs this morning and later on today we're supposed to get high winds and damaging hail- sounds like a good reason to stay home to me! But alas, the oldest child has a dental appointment today. I hope to get it over with and back home ASAP as I don't want to be caught in any of that torrential rain.
Our trip yesterday to see "Sue" and "Bucky" was a lot of fun. The weather cooperated with us for the drive and we even took the top off of the corvette for part of the journey. It was sunny and quite warm but we did see the big dark storm clouds that were making their way to the Rapid City area. The exhibit was well done (still need to get the pictures off of the camera). My husband and I thought that the little city got to host the exhibit for free since this is the area where the dinosaur was found- but that was soon to be proven not true. The city of Faith had to pay $100,000 (one hundred thousand dollars) to have the exhibit in their town. That's quite a bit of money for a town of just over 460 people to host. I do hope that many visitors to our area make their way over to visit Sue and Bucky. A neat surprise is that military folks (retirees included) get in for FREE! So take a drive and see one of the giants that once upon a time walked upon the earth.

Great you got to go!
We did dinos this weekend as well, in Bozeman. Wasn't as much as I expected, but it's still quite a nice museum. Part was closed as they were in between exhibits, and of course, we just missed the ROCKS, for Matthew, exhibit.
We'll hit the dino museum in Dickinson ND later this summer. We took CG there as a YOUNG toddler long ago. It's time to return visit. :)
